Dr. Evelio Echenique is a skilled and experienced internist and primary care doctor serving the communities of Flushing, NY and Bronx, NY. He attended the Universidad de Los Andes (Venezuela) Facultad de Medicina, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center.

He also completed his residency in neurology and psychiatry at University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Dresden in Germany. Dr. Echenique runs his own practice called Evelio Echenique. He is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Internal Medicine. He speaks English, Spanish and German fluently, which makes him widely accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. He also received the Charles Cherubin Award. During his consultations, Dr. Echenique fully explains patients’ conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan. He believes in listening to each patient and creating a partnership to maintain and improve lifelong health.
